The Nation's 5K - Dunfermline

We’re bringing The Nation’s 5K to Dunfermline on Friday 3 July. Walk, jog or run 5km in your city and be part of the UK’s biggest movement.

The Nation’s 5k, a new nationwide movement founded by endurance athlete Esmée Gummer with the mission of getting one million people across the UK moving together.

Esmée will be taking a free 5k club to every city in the UK, arriving at each city on foot by running 5,000km to the 77 events over 99 days.

After being paralysed at 18 years old, Esmée taught herself how to walk, run, and rebuild her life through movement. Now, she is taking on her biggest challenge yet, running more than 5000 kilometres in just 99 days, averaging around 50km every single day, as she travels city to city to personally host 77 community run clubs and events.

The event is designed for everybody, whether participants choose to run, jog, walk, or wheel the distance. It’s about community, wellbeing, inclusivity and creating a movement that makes exercise feel accessible and welcoming for all.
