SCOTTISH blues/roots/Americana singer-songwriter Dave Arcari plays a special Aberdeen show at The Blue Lamp on Thursday 6 November to promote his new album on the eve of it’s release.

Still Friends – the eighth solo album from Arcari – is released on Buzz Records on Friday 7 November 2025 and features 12 self-penned acoustic tracks. Six streaming-only singles released over the last few months have already attracted a steady flow of radio airplay across the UK, Europe and beyond which Arcari believes has helped build a high degree of anticipation for the album.

The album will be available on limited edition violet vinyl, CD and streaming/download via all digital services. The entire production was funded in the first week of a month-long Kickstarter campaign earlier in the year.

Arcari also plays shows at Irvine’s Harbour Arts Centre, Irvine on Friday 7 November; The Tolbooth, Stirling on Saturday 8 November and Darlington Forum on Thursday 13 November to promote the album.

Further UK shows are scheduled for early in 2026 including West End Centre, Aldershot (Friday 6 March) and Komedia, Brighton (Saturday 7 March) with more to be announced soon.

“I’m really excited about this new album,” says Arcari. “It’s stripped back, all acoustic with no overdubs. I’ve released seven solo albums previously – a live double album and various studio recordings sometimes including contributions from other musicians – and although they pass muster I think I’ve managed to capture the truest, most authentic recordings for this album.”

Indeed, Arcari recorded and produced the entire album in this own studio and believes the process enabled him to get things exactly as he wanted.

Arcari explains: “Although I recorded the last album (Devil May Care) – and the live (at Memorial Hall) album myself – they were both mixed and mastered in commercial studios so there was still considerably more expense. Being able to produce the entire project in my own studio took away the cost and time constraints which has produced an end result I’m really pleased with”

“The main challenge was to present a sonically transparent but polished set of recordings without losing the authenticity of a live studio recording using just two microphones. Less is often more…but it can’t be at the expense of recording and sound quality.”

He is also busy putting together music for film and TV worldwide. His work has featured in hit US series The Deadliest Catch and closer to home in numerous BBC TV productions.

Arcari is an an official artist for Newtone Strings, Reunion Blues gig bags, Diamond Bottlenecks, G7th Capo and National Reso-Phonic Guitars who launched their ‘Dave Arcari signature’ instruments in 2019.
