Grab yourself a beach wheelchair and explore the Fife Coastal Path, Leven Beach and Silverburn Park for those of you with mobility difficulties

Beach wheelchairs are now available for you to pre-book from Silverburn Park so that all members of your party get to enjoy the park, coastal path and beach fully. They are fitted with polyurethane ‘balloon’ wheels which make the park’s rough terrain paths and the sandy beach accessible. The chairs can also be pushed into the shallows of the water (up to 15cm depth)

We have 4 chairs available. 2 suitable for adults and 2 for children/small adults

Thanks to support from Levenmouth Reconnected Programme and the Craw's Nest Trust, we can offer these hires free of charge till end of October 2025. Currently, you will require your own family member or support person to push you in the chair, though volunteer attendants are being trained up and this may be an option for you, if required - speak to us first!
